IAMBE is seeking a talented early-career administration officer to be the PA of the Manager
The Institute of Australia Middle East Business and Education (IAMBE) is seeking a talented early-career Administration and Marketing Officer to assist the Manager in handling administration work and in the promotion of IAMBE’s services. The position is casual (10 hours per week) for a fixed term of 8 weeks. There may be an opportunity to extend the employment contract beyond the initial time period.
 
Role description:
- Assisting the General Manager to maintain relationships with past and current clients, including members of the foreign diplomatic corps in Canberra Writing advertising, promotional and marketing materials for the Institute’s services and products
- Assisting with research and speechwriting tasks related to the business of the Institute 
- Publishing material on a range of social media and other online platforms
- Engaging and building relationships, through IAMBE’s social media channels, with other users
- Miscellaneous office administration tasks
The successful candidate will:
- Be a motivated and creative communicator, unafraid to use their initiative in consultation with the General Manager
- Have demonstrated high level written and verbal English language communication skills in professional contexts
- Be in the process of studying a bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, Humanities, public relations, or other relevant communications field; or have recently graduated
- Be a seasoned user of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and have an understanding of how they can be used for marketing and promotions
- Be computer literate
The successful candidate will be paid a base gross rate of $25/hour, with additional financial incentives payable if certain sales targets are met. The successful candidate would also receive a 50% discount on the cost of any IAMBE Arabic language courses they might choose to take.
